Any hours over the 24 will be charged at the business owners discretion.

Conditions and Agreement for dogs staying at Bush House.

  1. Only Dogs over 1 year old accepted.
  2. Neutered Males and speyed bitches Only, unless by prior consent.
  3. All dogs must have up to date vaccinations, including Parvo Virus and a regular worming programme. Plus being micro chipped.
    Please Note: If a contact number cannot be provided in case of an emergency collection within 6 to 8 hours e.g. Fire or Flood of our premises or any other emergency situation, the dog/dogs must
    have a kennel cough vaccination, so they a can be transferred to the local boarding kennels.
  4. Note: Flea treatment must be recorded & administered by your veterinary practice. If not treated with prescription products, we require written details of last flea treatment and what product used.
  5. The dog/dogs must be able to live with other dogs and not be known fighters. Owners must give consent for their dogs to be placed with and allowed to play with other dogs not from the same
    address. All dogs are fed separately. All dogs to bring their own food and beds or sleeping mats.
  6. Whilst every care and attention will be given to the dogs, if any veterinary emergency should arise, after every attempt to contact the owner has failed, Miss V. Hawker have the owners permission to proceed with veterinary treatment given by the owners own veterinary practice if local or by Blake Veterinary Group, Bridgwater, if the dogs are from out of the area.
  7. Owners leave their Veterinary Surgeons details and any specific veterinary requirements with the dog.
  8. All owners must supply an emergency contact number, so in the case of any unforeseen circumstances, the dog/dogs can be collected within 4 to 6 hours.
  9. Although not a specific requirement, it would be advisable if the dog has veterinary insurance. E.g. Pet Plan or similar.
  10. All dogs are left at owners risk.

Disclaimer of Responsibility.(Health)

If the health of a dog is known by the owner to be unstable due to old age or recent circumstances. Miss Venetia Hawker will do all that is possible to keep the dog in good health, but should the dog deteriorate in any way, they have full permission to seek and act on veterinary advice. The above named will not be held responsible if the dog should die whilst in their care. If a dog should die for any reason and disposal wishes are not confirmed, the body will be stored by the owners veterinary practice if local to Canine Comfort or with our own veterinary practice Blakes of Showground Road, Bridgwater. 01278 451592. If said dog cannot be stored at own vets or Blakes, we have an arrangement for a body to be stored in the freezer at Stetcholt Pet Crematorium, Bridgwater, until the owners return.

Disclaimer of Responsibility.

If a dog is known to be disposed to escaping from his own home environment and the said owner has consented to leave the dog in the care of Miss V Hawker.

The above named will not take responsibility for that animal if it should escape from Bush House, Spaxton whilst in their care.

Whilst all care is taken and fencing is secure at Bush House, Spaxton, it is the owner of the dog who is ultimately responsible if the dog should escape and or cause damage to neighbouring property, properties or persons.
